The garage is puttering along. We’ve removed all the insulation, installed and/or moved 7 lights, and cleaned the garage.
We also patched the super leaky duct work with duct sealant. We used two tubes of it, at $4.97 each. Worked like a charm.
Then we taped off the garage. We used two rolls of contractor paper and 5 rolls of plastic to prep for the walls.
We used my dad’s super awesome paint sprayer to prime. Painting with that thing is entirely too fun. We probably spend 10 times the amount of time prepping the garage vs. actually painting.
Huge difference in light! We did two coats, and used 2.5 gallons of primer.
It’s even more noticeable in the back:
Next we will paint the walls a marginally darker gray, and cover the walls in plastic to prepare for the ceiling being painted black.
